A. FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION, GRADE 2 (or as needed)
Second grade students, or older, can prepare for the sacraments of First Reconciliation (fall) and First Communion (spring) in one year.
Children can enroll in one of two models offered for Sacramental Preparation: Family Community Model (parents and children complete the provided materials at home) or Classroom Model (children attend sessions to complete materials with a catechist and an assistant). All children, and their parents, attend two retreats, on Saturdays as scheduled, in preparation for each sacrament.
B. CONFIRMATION, C-I, C-II, GRADES 9-12
Preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation is experienced through the parish community. As part of ongoing life-long catechesis, teens in grades 9-12 are invited to participate in the parish community through Mass and sacraments, service, witness, youth ministry and spiritual experiences. The two-year program encourages and assists teens, along with their parents and sponsors, to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and witness to their faith through “full, conscious, active, participation in the worship and life of the church.” Please see schedule for details. |
