CONFIRMATION BOOT CAMP

WE WANT YOU!

Parish of the Assumption launches a new summer Confirmation Program.  It has all the qualities you are looking for:  concise teaching; concentrated time frame; deep faith sharing and development; and an invitation to deepen your own relationship with Christ.  We call it CONFIRMATION BOOT CAMP.

WHO?
Any 9th or 10th grader currently registered and active in the Parish of the Assumption, wishing to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  The Boot Camp is being led by Fr Marc, Chris Fortin, Nancy Gurick and Sharon Ranalli.

WHAT?
A two year cycle to fulfill one portion of the requirement for reception into the Sacrament according to Diocesan guidelines.  The program rotates in a two year cycle, allowing students in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade to complete their preparation.

WHEN?

There are four (4) sessions available for this intensive BOOT CAMP beginning with two (2) sessions this summer.  Those who have already completed one year of confirmation preparation choose one (1) session to complete their formal preparation.  Those just beginning their confirmation preparation choose one (1) session this year, and another session next summer or fall.  The sessions for 2010-2011 are:

Session 1:  Four Nights: Monday, July 12th through Thursday July 15th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Session 2:  Four Nights: Monday, Aug 2nd through Thursday, Aug 5th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Session 3:  Four Monday Nights: Oct 4th, Oct 11th, Oct 18th and Oct 25th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Session 4:  Four Nights: Monday, Feb 21 through Thursday, Feb 24th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

WHERE?
On the St Joseph Campus.

SO NOW WHAT?
All you need to do is register.   Download and fill out the registration form (click here), submit it before the registration deadline for each session, and you're enlisted in CONFIRMATION BOOT CAMP.

AND THAT'S IT?
Well, no.  That's it for the "in class" portion of Confirmation Preparation.  You are still required to fulfill the other portions of the Diocesan Requirements, that include : weekly Mass, Service to the Community (Service Hours) and a Retreat each year.
