Our goal is to help children learn, celebrate, share and live our Catholic faith.

 A.    CLASSROOM MODEL

Sunday 9:40-10:40 AM @ St. Charles Hall

Children meet on Sunday mornings to complete materials with a catechist and an assistant.  Classes are held in an open classroom setting.  Students are divided by grade level, one catechist and two assistants per group, with a maximum of 10-12 students per group.  Age appropriate activities, prayer and music are integrated in the lessons to help students grasp and apply the content learned.  In addition, parents are invited to join their children for quarterly themed sessions and service activities to expand learning and ways to live our faith.

B.     FAMILY COMMUNITY MODEL

Wednesday 6:00-7:00 PM @ St. Charles Hall

Parents and children meet by grade level on a Wednesday evenings, once per five week grade level rotation. At these retreat style sessions, families explore the curriculum unit themes through parent/child interaction, Bible stories, prayers, songs, crafts and a variety of religious experiences.  Families then complete the provided Sadlier materials at home.

C.     HOME STUDY MODEL

Materials are provided to parents, who in turn, teach their children at home.  Parents are invited to attend quarterly in-service meetings, hosted by Sister Lorraine Choiniere, Director of Religious Education, as a forum for discussion, questions and support during the process of teaching the children at home.  Finished materials are to be turned at the completion of the program.  In Service Meetings are held at St. Charles Chapel, Wednesday 6:00-7:00 as scheduled.
